FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OptiQly (optiq.ly), a marketing technology start-up focused on optimizing the display and sales of books, ebooks, and other products at online retailers, announces it has acquired Logical Marketing (logical-marketing.com), the boutique digital marketing consultancy founded by Mike Shatzkin, Pete McCarthy, and Jess Johns.
With this acquisition, Logical Marketing will expand its services to help OptiQly clients enhance discovery of authors and books.
McCarthy and Johns will assume key operational roles immediately, as Chief Product Officer and Director of Marketing, respectively. Both will continue to service Logical’s clients. Shatzkin will provide input to the company via a long-term consulting agreement, and already sits on the OptiQly board.
Citing the logic of this acquisition, CEO of OptiQly Evan Schnittman said, “Since the three Logical Marketing partners are among the founders of OptiQly, this is a unifying step with the intention of providing more – and more focused – value to Logical Marketing clients via expertise, scale, and software.”
Shatzkin said, “I’m really proud of what Pete, Jess, and I have built over the past three years. Having the Logical Marketing services capability offered by OptiQly under Evan’s leadership is the best possible way to move both companies forward.”
As of October 3rd, McCarthy and Johns have joined Schnittman at OptiQly’s Park Avenue South offices. For more information about OptiQly or Logical Marketing please contact info[at]optiq.ly.
